Iphosphamide for injection (IFO) is the isomer of cycphosphamide. It can be hydrolysis by phosphamidase or phosphatase which exist in liver or tumor when coming inner body, and be changed into activating phosphoamide caryolysine. The mechanism of action is that it proceeds to chiasm affiliation with DNA, and then represses the composition of DNA. But it also can interrupt the function of RNA, as cell cycle-nonspecific drugs. It has a broad anti-tumor spectrum and has repressing effect to many tumors.
The iphosphamide is mainly applied to cure carcinoma of testis, ovarian cancer, breast cancer, soft tissue sarcoma, malignant lymphoma, lung cancer and so on.
